HDPE
Float frames have been used
on the Atlantic Coast for over a decade without a single failure. The
float frame is extremely tough (.5" wall thickness) and effective
in rough seas. HDPE float frames are heavier than cube floats, exposed
foam & wrapped foam - this creates a lower centre of gravity &
better stability in rough conditions. Ocean swells 'slip' off the tubular
shape resulting in less lift when the sea kicks up. HDPE FLOAT FRAMES
are an obvious choice for strength, longevity, environmental sensitivity,
and economy. The service life of HDPE float frames is 40+ years. Float
frames can rest on the bottom in areas with extreme tides without damage.
They also leave the smallest footprint of any other float system reducing
damage to sensitive shore areas. You don't build a house on a weak foundation;
Whitewater Docks believes a floating structure should
also have a strong foundation.
Whitewater
HDPE float frames are extrusion welded and completely water-tight. They're
made entirely of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe ranging in sizes
from 14" - 24" diameter with a minimum 1/2" wall thickness, HDPE float
frames are rugged and virtually unsinkable. They can handle all marine
environments and put structural strength beneath the water not just
above it. The characteristics of HDPE makes
it an excellent choice for worry- free floatation.
